Shell Catalysts & Technologies exists to provide Shell and non-Shell businesses with the tools, technologies and insights that are needed to help industrial assets perform at their best.
For decades, we have been developing game-changing technological innovations to solve seemingly insurmountable challenges. What sets us apart is the knowledge we have gained from Shell’s corporate heritage as the operator of refineries and petrochemical plants around the world. It also gives us a unique perspective on how refiners can remain competitive.
Our world-class catalyst and research and development expertise has enabled us to establish an enviable track record for developing leading-edge zeolites and catalysts, advanced solvents and pioneering processes, and provides a strong foundation for our future technology development.
We are also helping Shell and non-Shell customers decarbonise industrial assets. We are developing a wide range of differentiated solutions that offer attractive decarbonisation opportunities, including biofuels, carbon capture and decarbonised (blue) hydrogen technologies.

Johnson Matthey is a global leader in science that enables a cleaner and healthier world and our vision is for a world that’s cleaner and healthier; today and for future generations. With over 200 years of sustained commitment to innovation and technological breakthroughs, we improve the function, performance and safety of our customers’ products. We use science to create innovative products and our science has a global impact in areas such as low emission transport, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing and making the most efficient use of the planet’s natural resources. One in every three new cars carries an emission control catalyst from Johnson Matthey; toxic carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbons go into the catalyst, cleaner air comes out. Our catalysts stop around 20 million tonnes of pollutants in their tracks every year. Today more than 14,000 Johnson Matthey professionals collaborate with our network of customers and partners to make a real difference to the world around us. We remain committed to tackling new challenges to build a cleaner and healthier future for the generations to come.

Syntholene is actively commercializing its novel Hybrid Thermal Production System for low-cost clean fuel synthesis. The target output is ultrapure synthetic jet fuel, which the Company seeks to manufacture at 70% lower cost than the nearest competing technology today. The Company’s mission is to deliver the world’s first truly high-performance, low-cost, and carbon-neutral synthetic fuel at an industrial scale, unlocking the potential to produce clean synthetic fuel at lower cost than fossil fuels, for the first time.
Syntholene operates the world’s first geothermally-integrated high temperature electrolysis demonstration facility in Husavik, Iceland, which is now producing 99.9%+ purity Hydrogen.

KHIMOD is a French climate-tech company that develops and sells solutions for producing fuels and synthetic molecules, such as low- carbon methane, low-carbon methanol, and sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs), which enable the reuse and valorization of CO₂. KHIMOD aims to decarbonize heavy transportation, including air and sea transportation, as well as the chemical sector and hard-to-abate industries, such as cement production and waste management. KHIMOD's technology is based on millistructured heat exchanger-reactors assembled by diffusion-bonding, which are capable of performing catalytic reactions under high pressures and temperatures. In addition to its reactors, KHIMOD designs and develops turnkey units and is a partner in several innovative collaborative and commercial projects in the fields of power-to-gas (Jupiter1000, METHYCENTRE, PEGASUS) and SAF production (AVEBIO). KHIMOD technology is also aimed at the fine and specialty chemical industries, with its equipment delivering exceptional performance in hydrogenation, with or without a fixed-bed catalyst.

The e-NG Coalition is an international collaborative alliance of pioneering companies that believe electric Natural Gas (e-NG) has a role to play to accelerate the energy transition towards a net-zero carbon future. The Coalition seeks to promote e-NG, build a global market with aligned emissions accounting and certification standards, and bolster cooperation between all stakeholders along the e-NG value chain. By aligning industry innovation in different regions of the world with ambitious climate policies, the coalition aims to be a catalyst for meaningful progress in the energy landscape.

Hydrogen Europe is the European association representing the interest of the hydrogen industry and its stakeholders and promoting hydrogen as an enabler of a zero-emission society. With 600+ members, including 40+ EU regions and 30+ national associations, we encompass the entire value chain of the European hydrogen and fuel cell ecosystem. Our vision is to propel global carbon neutrality by accelerating the European hydrogen industry.

CO2 Value Europe (CVE) is an international non-profit association representing the Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) community in Europe and beyond with a mission to promote the development of a circular carbon economy based on CO2 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to move away from fossil.
The Association brings together more than 110 organisations worldwide from diverse sectors (including industries, start-ups, universities, research and technology organisations, and regional clusters), and develops a large network of many more organisations and individuals who share the belief that CCU technologies are necessary to help the EU reach climate targets.
CO2 Value Europe is engaged in the communication and dissemination work in four EU-funded projects, within the framework of the Horizon 2020 and the Horizon Europe research and innovation programmes. In addition, it is a member of the Advisory Boards of several EU and national projects.
Its Scientific Advisory Committee comprises scientists covering a wide range of expertise related to CCU and ensures that the association’s messages and activities are based on solid and objective scientific evidence.

Eurogas is an association of over 100 companies and associations across 29 countries, spanning the entire length of the gas value chain. Our members cover wholesale and retail gas markets, and the distribution of natural gas, biomethane and hydrogen. We also work with companies active on gases for vehicles, and on value chain methane emissions management. Eurogas accelerates the transition to climate neutrality through dialogue and advocacy on optimising the use of gases.
